Rescue services called to stricken yacht

Rescue services are on their way to a stricken yacht reported with difficulties off the coast of Cork.

A French fishing trawler in the area alerted rescue teams that a yacht is in distress, 25 miles off the Old Head of Kinsale in Cork.

The Courtmacsherry lifeboat and the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter are on their way to the yacht.
