Vandals have defaced the entrance of the bishop's palace in Dublin.

Vandals have defaced the entrance of the bishop's palace in Dublin.

Three six's were painted in red across the gate post and wall of the entrance to the residence on the Drumcondra road in Glasnevin.

The criminal damage to the home of the Archbishop Desmond Connell was discovered by a caretaker earlier this afternoon.

Gardai are now investigating the incident.
