Cowen and Murphy to chair Stormont talks

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, and the Northern Secretary, Paul Murphy, will jointly chair today's talks to rescue the Good Friday Agreement at Stormont.

Few believe there can be any significant progress in the short term, with the Taoiseach saying he hopes there will be a breakthrough by February at the latest.
