Crew extinguish fishing vessel blaze

The four-man crew of a fishing vessel which caught fire off the Co Mayo coast this morning have extinguished the blaze.

A rescue helicopter from Donegal and the Ballyglass lifeboat had departed for the scene along with two other fishing vessels shortly after a May Day signal was issued at 12.30pm.
