Adams: IRA will not respond to ultimatums

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has said there is no possibility of the IRA disbanding in response to ultimatums or demands from the British government or unionists.

Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble has claimed that IRA disbandment is the only issue up for discussion in talks aimed at restoring the North's devolved political institutions.
