The Sinn Fein president, Gerry Adams, has criticised the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, for failing to fulfil promises he made under the Good Friday Agreement.

Speaking in the Short Strand in Belfast this afternoon, Mr Adams said that the British government had failed people there during a summer of violence.
