Report: Elderly people are abused

Up to 12,000 of the country's elderly citizens are being subjected to a range of physical and financial abuse according to a new report to be published today.

The types of physical abuse come in the form of being kicked, slapped, bitten, assaulted with irons and broken bottles, some have even had their money stolen.
