Search underway for missing walker

A search is underway in the Wicklow mountains for a 75-year-old man who is missing since yesterday morning.

The man, who went for a walk in the Aughavannagh area, near the Glen of Imaal, was reported missing around midnight.

About 50 members of local mountain rescue teams are taking part in the search.

They will be joined this morning by a coastguard helicopter and a dog unit.
