Angry reaction to imminent release of paedophile priest.

Victims of paedophile priest James Kelly, better known as Brother Ambrose, have expressed anger at the news of his release from prison.

Kelly, who abused young boys at a residential home at Lota in Cork, initially received a 36-year jail term for the abuse which was subsequently reduced.

Today Cork Circuit Criminal Court ruled that he could be free at the end of this month housed at a secret location.

One of his victims, John Barrett, feels let down by the court's decision.

"To be honest with you I feel that the judicial system in this country is rubbish.

"Secondly I don't think people realise what a monster they're putting back here on the streets of this country, he is the most evil man in Ireland and what gets me today is that nobody is supposed to know where he is living."
