Further rain forecast for Dublin

Met Eireann has said that the eastern region of the country can expect further rainfall throughout this afternoon and evening.

Meteorologist Vincent O'Shea has said although the rest of Leinster will remain mainly dry for the rest of the day, Dublin can expect more rain.

He said: "There is a likelihood that we can expect another 7-10mm before a clearance finally gets into the area sometime this evening, but it could be sometime after dark before we're completely in the clear."
