Naughten slams Transport estimates

Fine Gael spokesperson on Transport, Denis Naughten TD, said today that the 2003 Estimates herald an escalation of transport chaos and clear the way for fare increases of up to 20% in public transport.

CIE are already looking for a 12% increase to maintain the current level of service and will have to make up the 8.5% shortfall in their development Budget.
