Winter Wonderland promoter found in England

The man behind the Winter Wonderland scandal has been found living with his mother in the Wothing area of England.

Adrian Smith, from Co Laois, fled Ireland after cancelling the Christmas extravaganza without refunding the 20,000 people who had purchased tickets for the event.

Mr Smith, who was tracked down by a newspaper, said he has lost all his own money and has not received any of the money paid for the Winter Wonderland tickets.

Up to €2m worth of tickets were booked for the doomed event.
