Five Oireachtas members are to travel to Colombia next month to oversee the trial of three Irishmen held there.

Five Oireachtas members are to travel to Colombia next month to oversee the trial of three Irishmen held there.

Niall Connolly, Martin McAuley and Jim Monaghan are accused of aiding paramilitaries.

They have been charged with travelling on false passports, and training FARC terrorists. The trial is due to begin on December 2.
