McGuinness accuses PSNI of conducting 'witch-hunt'

Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness has accused the North's acting deputy chief constable for Belfast of conducting a blatant witch-hunt against Catholics working in the civil service.

Yesterday, Alan McQuillan claimed that his officers had smashed an IRA spy ring operating inside Stormont and said more people will be arrested in connection with the operation.

Responding to the comments, Mr McGuinness said many nationalists are highly suspicious of Mr McQuillan's claims.

He accused the deputy chief constable of pursuing an anti-peace process agenda.
