Nurses to take industrial action at Dublin hospital
Nurses in the radiology department at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin are due to take industrial action this afternoon as part of a dispute over pay and allowances.
The nurses, who have accused hospital managers of reneging on a pay deal, are due to withdraw call services from 5pm.
Philip McAnenly, a spokesman for the Irish Nurses Organisation, said: "Management agreed to review the rates, they then subsequently agreed to implement the rates, but for some reason in the interim, they have now changed their mind and decided to renege on an agreement they had already brokered with the nurses."
