Salmon netting must stop, say group

International environmentalists are visiting Ireland this weekend, in a bid to end Irish salmon drift netting.

An exceptional netting of wild salmon has caused biologists to examine the possibility of stopping net fishing of the famous fish next year, so fish numbers can stabilise.
