The Government has hinted that it is planning to use controversial public-private partnerships to finance schools, roads and other infrastructure projects.

Speaking at the launch of a National Development Finance Agency, Department of Finance spokesman Eamon Kearns described PPPs as 'cutting-edge', despite widespread opposition to the privatisation of public projects.
