£18m spent on policing loyalist marches

The North's chief constable Hugh Orde has revealed that it cost £18m (€28.1) to police this year's loyalist marching season.

Responding to questions from the policing board, Mr Orde said more than £6.5m (€10.2m) was spent on placing officers and equipment along the route of loyalist marches
