Ahern hints at further cutbacks

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has suggested the Government is planning further cutbacks in the public services due to the poor economic situation.

Responding to a question from Fine Gael in the Dail, Mr Ahern said: "Our export markets are not doing as well as they were because the countries that we export into are not growing at the same extent as they were.
