Peace service held at Christchurch

A peace service in Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin is underway to pray for the crisis in Northern Ireland.

An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is attending the mass.

The wives of leading Northern Ireland politicians, John Hume and David Trimble, will address the congregation.

Open to the general public, it is the sixty-third citizenship service to be held since the tradition was established in 1940.
