Man arrested after drugs seizure

A 21-year old man has been arrested after gardaí seized drugs worth €40,000.

The man was stopped and searched yesterday evening in Dundrum village and gardaí found a small amount of cocaine and cash in his possession.

A follow-up search later found €30,000 worth of cannabis in a house in Dundrum.

The man is being held in Dundrum garda station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act where he can be held for up to twelve hours before being charged or released.
