There are no reports of any injuries after a plane overshot a runway this evening.

There are no reports of any injuries after a plane overshot a runway this evening.

The plane carrying 40 passengers and crew overshot the end of Strandhill airport runway in Sligo at 5pm this evening.

The plane landed off by as much as 25 metres.

All passengers, including members of the band Aslan, left the plane safely and no injuries were reported.

The F27 Euroceltic aircraft will later be moved when the aircraft investigation unit arrive later this evening.
