Post mortem results of Clonmel stab victim due today

The results are due this morning of a post mortem on a 21-year old man found dead in Clonmel.

Jamie Lonergan suffered up to 15 stab wounds in the face and torso in a knife attack in the early hours of yesterday morning.

His body was discovered by passers-by on an unofficial pathway known locally as Kelly's Field.

State Pathologist Dr John Harbison has carried out a post mortem on the body, with the results due later today.

No motive has yet been established for the killing and the murder weapon has not been found.
