Warnings as Halloween approaches

With Halloween approaching, safety bodies are warning parents to be aware of the danger posed to children.

The National Safety Council says the mixture of bonfires and fireworks are a "deadly combination".

NSC Chief Executive Pat Costello says fireworks are extremely dangerous and should at least be supervised.
