Adams says IRA will not disband at demands of British Govt

The Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams says the IRA will not disband at the demands of the British Government or the Ulster Unionist Party.

Speaking at a party conference in Monaghan Mr Adams gave his considered response to last week's call from the British Prime Minister Tony Blair to remove the IRA from the equation.
