LVF man held in bank raid probe

A leading member of the Loyalist Volunteer Force has been arrested following a bank raid in Tandragee, Co Armagh, this morning.

Gary Fulton is being held in nearby Lisburn under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

He was one of four men arrested in connection with the robbery. In a follow-up operation, police found money and a gun.

Mr Fulton, whose brother Mark took his own life earlier this year in prison, was involved in talks last week to try to resolve the ongoing dispute between the LVF and UDA.
