Although the uptake on immunisation jabs has risen, the number of parents giving the controversial MMR vaccine to their children is still a quarter below the national target, according to the Royal College of Physicians.

Many parents have been put off by some studies that have shown a possible link between the jab and autism but the immunisation committee here says there is nothing to worry about.
