Deadline for interest in Stadium Ireland expires
The deadline for private businessmen to submit expressions of interest in the proposed Stadium Ireland project has expired.
At least four such expressions were received, including ones from Treasury Holdings, Dunloe-Ewart Developments and Lang Construction.
The Department of Sport said a statement on the matter will be issued next week, with a final decision due before November 30.
The Government decided to invite private businessmen to build the ambitious stadium after the cabinet refused to fund the venture with taxpayers' money.
