Cork man dies after January assault

A 28-year-old Cork man has died in hospital from injuries he received in an attack in the city nine months ago.

A 28-year-old Cork man has died in hospital from injuries he received in an attack in the city nine months ago.

Christian Scully, from Togher, had been on a life support machine since suffering head injuries in an attack outside a nightclub in January.

He died in hospital last night.

Two men have been charged with assault in connection with the incident.
