Colombia Three to go on trial today

The trial of the three Irishmen accused of training anti-government rebels in Colombia is due to begin later today.

Niall Connolly, James Monaghan and Martin McCauley were arrested in August last year after leaving territory controlled by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), a left-wing guerrilla army which has been fighting the Colombian Government for almost 40 years.
