Rescue teams to receive extra funding

Mountain and cave rescue teams have been boosted by the news that they are to receive further funding from the State.

An extra €70,000 has been allocated for the services in order to meet additional expenses.

The Department of Communications has taken over funding of mountain rescue services this year for the first time.
