McCreevy stresses continuing budget benefits for Ireland

The Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy today stressed the financial budgetary advantages that continue to accrue from Ireland's EU membership.

By the end of this year, Ireland will have received a net €34billion in EU transfers since our entry in 1973.
