Father and son survive murder chase
Investigators in the North are examining what looks like an attempted murder on a son and father during a car chase.
The father was injured after a car chase in the North of Belfast.
Their blue Granada crashed into a fence at the junction of North Queen Street and Victoria Parade after being struck by a car, believed to be a dark coloured Laguna.
After the collision, the driver and his son ran off, chased by a man wielding a hammer.
The Laguna then resumed the chase, mounted the footpath and struck the man.
The car then made off with the armed assailant on board.
The PSNI have confirmed they are investigating the attack which looks to be sectarian.
