Eight BSE cases identified this week

Eight more cases of BSE have been identified in Irish cattle this week, bringing the total number of detected cases this year to 266.

Two of the cases confirmed this week were in Monaghan, with the remainder in Cork, Offaly, Kildare, Limerick, Laois and Wicklow.
