Gardai investigate Dublin assault

Gardai at Crumlin station in Dublin are investigating a serious assault which was reported to them early this morning.

The injured man called to a house in the Captains Road area of Crumlin seeking assistance and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He told gardai he had attended a party and had been assaulted shortly after leaving the party.

Gardai are trying to establish the identity of the injured man, the location of the party and any other information which may help with the investigation.

The injured man is believed to be a Chinese national and may have travelled by taxi to or from the party.
