Taoiseach due in London for talks with Blair

The Taoiseach is due to fly to London later today for talks with the British prime minister Tony Blair on the growing crisis in the North.

Last night, the UUP leader, David Trimble, said the IRA would have to announce its disbandment to persuade his party to stay on in the power-sharing Executive after Tuesday.
