Greenpeace seeks increased use of wind-farms

The environmental group Greenpeace has said that Ireland has the potential to lead the world in the construction of offshore wind-farms.

The organisation said research shows that the Irish Sea is one of the best offshore wind resources in Europe, with the capacity to generate more electricity than Ireland uses in a year.
