Survivors' group blast Cardinal's letter of apology
The group Irish Survivors of Child Abuse has criticised a letter sent by Cardinal Connell yesterday to all churches.
In the letter, details of regret were set out in how child abusers had been dealt with by the Catholic Church in Ireland.
John Kelly, the founder of the support group says there is no substance in the Cardinal’s letter.
Mr Kelly says victims should not be challenged by the Church in the civil and criminal courts and apologies are not good enough because the Church says one thing but does another.
