UDA member Jim Grey arrested

Police in the North have arrested East Belfast UDA member, Jim Grey.

UUP member for East Belfast, Jim Rodgers, describing the circumstances surrounding Mr Grey’s arrest, said that a large number of police arrested Mr Grey in a Chinese restaurant.

“They took him outside, put him in white overalls and he was taken away in the back of a Landrover under arrest," he said.

Mr Grey was shot in the face two weeks ago in an incident that’s thought to be part of the ongoing loyalist feud in the area.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man has been shot in the head in the Ravenscroft area. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
