Education Minister urged to make science compulsory

The Minister for Education is being urged to ignore the advice of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment to keep science as an optional subject in the Junior Cert.

The Task Force on the physical sciences had recommended the subject be made compulsory to reverse it’s decline in schools.
