Investigation underway into Russborough raid

A major security operation and investigation is still underway this morning at Russborough house in Co Wicklow.

The investigation centres around the raid from the Beit collection which is believed to be valued in the area of €50m.

A south Dublin gang who have been involved in raids on the stately home are believed to be behind this one also.

This is the fourth time that the Russborough house has been raided in the last 28 years.

It took the gang only five minutes to overcome the security alarm and an elderly security guard.
