A man has died overnight in an accident in Co Clare.

A man has died overnight in an accident in Co Clare.

The accident occurred just before 8pm at Ballyquinn, near Broadford in Killaloe.

A car lost control and crossed a ditch, coming to a halt in a nearby field.

The 38-year-old driver sustained fatal head injuries.

His body has been removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.
