Protestant churches sign historic covenant

The Church of Ireland and the Methodist Church have signed an historic agreement to join the two churches together.

Church of Ireland Primate Robin Eames and Winston Graham, the President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, signed the formal covenant in Lisburn, Co Antrim.

Speaking after the ceremony, Methodist Reverand Harold Good said there was overwhelming support for the move.
