Ahern launches Donegal-Derry ferry service

Communications Minister Dermot Ahern has launched a new cross-border ferry service between Greencastle in Co Donegal and Magilligan in Co Derry.

Communications Minister Dermot Ahern has launched a new cross-border ferry service between Greencastle in Co Donegal and Magilligan in Co Derry.

The €6.6m service was funded by the European Union, the International Fund for Ireland and the local authorities.

Mr Ahern said the ferry will facilitate ease of travel and boost local development.
