Man disapears in Boyne

A major search operation has been launched today after a man was seen entering the Boyne river in Co Louth.

Gardai and locals are looking for a man who was seen entering the river in Drogheda earlier today.

The man was seen in the waters shortly before 3pm near Hay bridge.

Emergency services including the coastguard helicopter have swung into action.

So far, there has been no trace of the man.
