Greens welcome Teahon resignation

The Green Party has welcomed the announcement that Paddy Teahon, former chairperson of Campus Stadium Ireland, has resigned as chairman of the Digital Hub.

The party have described the move as 'further proof of government incompetence'.

They also say 'the circumstances of Mr Teahon's departure raised serious concerns about the close connections between private developers and those involved in major public projects'.

Green Party Enterprise, Trade and Employment Spokesperson Eamon Ryan said: "Every grand project Bertie Ahern touches seems to turn to dust. The Digital Hub was a positive idea but the government failed completely to appoint the right management to do the job."
