Date set for Nice vote

Saturday October 19 has been confimed as the date for the second Nice Treaty referendum.

Polls will be open from 9am to 9pm.

The Taoiseach made the announcement at today's Cabinet meeting in Glenveagh National Park in Donegal.

He also said that more constituencies will be registering their vote by electronic means during the referendum.
