NWB defers filling 44 posts
The North Western Health board is to defer filling 44 new posts as it tries to meet Department of Health cutbacks.
The latest cost-cutting measure is part of a plan to save nearly €1m in the health sector.
The board denies it will have any impact on patient services.
However, NWB Chief Executive Pat Harvey admits jobs in research, development and support departments that have not been filled so far, will not be filled at all.
