Students protest outside embassy over Sellafield

Irish students are getting ready to stage their own nuclear protest outside the British Embassy today.

The students are angry at the British government’s refusal to close the Cumbrian plant.

Gareth Keogh of the Union of Students in Ireland says that the British government have just refused to listen to the calls of the Irish people.

The protest in Dublin is due to coincide with Greenpeace’s protest at the arrival of two Nuclear carrying cargo ships that will come into Irish waters in just a matter of hours.
