Minister of Defence to visit troops in Africa

The Minister for Defence has left for Africa to visit Irish troops.

Michael Smith will meet around 220 soldiers from the First Southern Brigade serving with the United Nations in Eritrea.

The troops are using some of the latest military equipment recently acquired by the Defence forces.
